This week's golf: The Pebble Beach Pro Am

As promised, some quick plays and the DFS projection run down.

We got ourselves a fun one firing off on Thursday, the PGA Tour event takes place in Monterey County, California for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. I’m about to fire up the projector and Golden Tee at some point while I sweat some plays, as you should too. The tourney is compiled with some rockstars, including the likes of Spieth, Fitz, Power, and Hovland.

We will have some wind as well. check out the rundown.

Thursday: Sunny with a high of 59 degrees. Winds at 8 to 14 MPH with gusts flirting with 30 MPH. 

Friday: Potential rain with a high of 57 degrees. Winds at 8 to 12 MPH with gusts around 20 MPH. 

Saturday: Sunny with a high of 56 degrees. Winds at 6 to 15 MPH. 

Hovland’s back, and looking at odds to win for the group, he’s just behind Spieth (+1000), sitting at +1100. Fantasy projections also have Hovland having himself a weekend too. He’ll be in the mix for me.

Nothing crazy on my end, but these are my plays if you’d like to join the party.

Matchup: McNealy (+100) over Spieth. McNealy has played well here historically and grew up in the area. That always sucks me in.

Hovland is back after a short break and I think he makes a statement announcing his return. He won the US Amateur here back in 2018, and finished 38th back in 2020. He should contend.

Tom Hoge Top 20 +120 This will be his ninth time playing here. He loves this spot and I would too if I was the defending champ. He should be able to hang inside of the top 20 by end of day Sunday, right? Great price.

Garrick Higgo Top 40 +165 (or if you can find a line for him to make the cut, should be -150ish) This is my long shot. Though gives us somewhat inconsistent track record, he just continues to improve. 53rd at the Farmers and 11th at the American Express prior to that.
