NFL Week 8 DFS, giveaway, and more..
First.. if you aren’t part of the crew yet.. here you go.
We ready to cash some DFS?!
You all probably have your method down, so don’t go changing anything, but I thought I’d remind you guy’s on my starting point.
I look at a ton, but here’s one of the first things I review when building my squad.
I like to look at team total projections, then compare with the opponent’s team defensive rankings for both pass yards per game, and rush yards per game.
Here’s how the main slate stacks up:
When you look to the right, I have their opponent’s defense performance, or lack of. BLUE (cold) you want to target for your lineups, and big pass on the RED (hot).
Example: Buffalo is facing Miami, who’s giving up 297.1 pass yards per game. That would put Josh Allen in a prime spot. But can you pay up for them? I believe he is the most expensive QB this week.
Let’s take a gander at some positions, and build us a winner.
QB:
Josh Allen $8100: Yea.. spendy.. but he will cover it and more.. The challenge though will be finding some sneaky dudes on the cheap to make up for it. Bill are projected to go ham and they will, especially this guy.
Tom Brady $7400: My play this week. He’s a tad cheaper, but still up there. What I like here is the projected points from TB, coupled with the tough run defense. AB is out but its not like Brady doesnt have that Makita 100 piece tool set. He has options.
Matthew Stafford $7600: This game won’t be fair and Stafford will do his thing to put up some points. Take a look at the run defense though. They will mix it up.
On the DL: Hurts, Smith, Bridgewater
RB:
Derrick Henry $8900: Was he hungover last week? Only 86 yards and no TDs? Bounce back but an expensive one.
Jonathan Taylor $7200: Huge game for the Colts. He will be a big part of Indy’s 27 point projection.
Darrell Henderson $6500: See the chart above. Big team point projection facing a team that can’t stop the run.
On the DL: D Harris, Robinson, Swift
WR:
Cooper Kupp $9000: Huge team projection and this guy is averaging 28.9 a game.
Chris Godwin $6400: Antonio Brown is out. Lattimore probably matched up with the guy that gives away $500K milestone footballs.
Ja’Marr Chase $7500: Chase is the guy, the thing is though, is how much will the Bengals end up throwing the ball?
On the DL: Shenault, Beasley, AJ Brown, Jeudy, Metcalf
TE:
Noah Fant $4900: Great match up, but do they go to him or JJ when it counts?
Dallas Goedert $4700: He only saw 5 targets last week even with Ertz bouncing. I got a feeling he sees more here. See the chart too.
Kyle Pitts $6300: Usually tough to spend up at TE unless your name is Kelce. Pitts averaging 9 targets per game last three weeks.
On the DL: Hockenson, Henry, Freiermuth
DEF:
Rams, Bengals, 49ers, Bills.
On the DL: Football Team, Seahawks, Falcons
Now.. what do you do for a lineup?
Here’s the Josh Allen special for CASH games. (50/50, double ups)
As for my personal build. Here’s a core:
Best BET:
Bengals -10.5
Consider Bengals 1Q as well. Jets have been outscored 44-0 in the first quarter this year.
Props:
Chris Godwin: Anytime TD +115
Khalil Herbert: OVER 66.5 rushing yards -115
Carson Wentz: OVER 1.5 TDs -105
