NFL DFS MAIN SLATE FOR SUNDAY 10/24
Let’s go cash a tourney! You all probably have your method down, so don’t go changing anything, but I thought I’d share my starting point.
I look at a ton, but here’s one of the first things I review when building my squad.
I like to look at team total projections, then compare with the opponent’s team defensive rankings for both pass yards per game, and rush yards per game.
Here’s how the main slate stacks up:
Looks like the usual suspects are going to blow up the scoreboard. (LAR, AZ, KC TB, GB)
When you look to the right, I have their opponent’s defense performance, or lack of. GREEN you want to target for your lineups, and big pass on the RED.
Example: Green Bay is facing Washington, who ranks 32nd, giving up 309.5 pass yards per game. That would put Aaron Rodgers and our boy Adams in a prime spot. But can you pay up for them?
Let’s take a gander at some positions, and build us a winner.
For QB, lets look at the top tier teams projected to put up some points, coupled with the best pass defense matchups.
So we have Rodgers, Mahomes, Stafford, and Murray with team total projections looking hot, while also up in the top tier as it relates to the pass defense they will face. A couple wild cards are Matt Ryan and Ryan Tannehill. To me, Matty Ice with a decent team projection, facing the 2nd worst pass defense on the slate, and a price tag of $5700 is worth at least one of your lineups. I’m going to take a gamble.
Rodgers and Stafford though look to be in great spots, with Rodgers probably the best option of the week.
For RB, same deal. Here’s how the stack is looking:
AZ has the best matchup for the week, but I’m not biting on the split time. We got ourselves plenty of other options. Obviously King Henry will produce, but $9200 is some serious cash to pay up. Looking at some of these other price tags though, I’m liking Henderson at $6600 with that team total projection, coupled with the matchup. Miles Sanders could be in play at only $5100, and do we consider Aaron Jones with the 5th highest team total projection, coupled with the 113.5 rush yards a game Washington gives up? Again, you have some options here.
Anyhow, there’s a starting point for what I like to look at before diving into the weeds and putting together all the last minute news before kickoff.
Here’s the start of my build.
Before we wrap, here’s the best bets write up for the week over at Sports Illustrated which include five of mine: SI Team Best Bets
Also, it looks like the NBA lineup I dropped in the previous article came through. Drop a comment, or let me know if you’d like me to keep these going.
